Gratitude Journal Challenge

Gratitude_ChallengeWhat technology are you grateful for?

I am thankful for cell phones with good cameras in them. I almost always have my phone with me, but I don’t always have the big camera with me because it can be pretty cumbersome. The best camera is the one that you have with you.

I am grateful for digital cameras because now all of my photographic faux-pas are not breaking the budget. They aren’t costing us anything beyond what was already spent on the memory card.

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the means and opportunity to take pictures so freely.

That’s a great thing to be thankful for! Remember the days of spending tons of money on paper photographs? Yikes!

    Blessings!

    • Thanks!
Oh yes, I sure do! A while back, David and I were discussing when we were dating and I had a Polaroid camera. He was forever breaking the bank to buy me film for it and I’d have it all shot up before we even left the driveway for our date. I have always loved photography. I never loved spending the money on out of focus pictures. That’s the best thing about digital photograph. I can tell the picture is bad before spending the money to have it printed.
I shudder to think how much it would cost just for the film alone for the number of photos I take these days, probably 10,000 a week!

Many blessings to you, too, my friend. 🙂

  2. Suzanne,

I’m grateful for smartphones. They are not only an excellent go-to camera but when you need help navigating (fabulous GPS system) a new area or find a gas station or restaurant I have the ability to find these places in the palm of my hand. Smartphones today are more powerful than computers of 30 years ago which were bigger than most desktop computers now. I love this challenge! I may try to do this once I get back into the blogging groove again. Have a safe and fun 4th!

    • I agree! It is great to be able to carry a powerful computer in the palm of our hands. These phones are phones, cameras, calculators, GPS, address books, word processors…so much it just boggles the mind. Who would have ever thought something that used to fill a room can now fit in our hands? It is amazing!
I hope that you will do the gratitude challenge, too, when you get back to blogging again.
I hope that you have a blessed, safe, and fun 4th. 🙂

    • Yeah, like Instagram. haha I saw a young man getting arrested the other night at a local store, and what was the first thing I thought about upon seeing this? Well, after thinking “Uh-oh! What did he do?” Yep, I took a picture. I didn’t post it anywhere, of course. It was just something to share with David about my parking lot adventure. 🙂

The phones today definitely make waiting not so boring anymore.

      Have a happy 4th!
