Letting Go

“The deeper call for courage comes when you let go with nothing ahead to grab.”

That line resonated with me when I read it on page 128 of Let’s All Be Brave by Annie F. Downs. It is where I am now, in the book and in life. I’m still pondering it.  I need to let go of some things. I can’t see what is ahead to grab. The things that I can see are pretty scary from this vantage point. The potentials are terrifying.  I am not feeling at all courageous, at least, not on the level that I should be.

When life brings you things that are not good for you to hold onto, how do you let go of them…or do you just keep grasping them tightly, afraid to let go?

What we know is better than what we don’t know, right? That would seem a logical thought, but it isn’t always the case. Sometimes the unknown holds things that are infinitely better for us.

We just have to do the thing.

We have to be brave.

We have to let go.

I have faith in Heavenly Father.  I know He has this covered.

1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
