Stepping Back In

How have all of you been? The pandemic sure has made life interesting and a challenge, hasn’t it? I hope that you’re all doing well.

First thing….it sure does look different here on the post writing page. I hope this post doesn’t go all wonky. I’m not very good with change and having to re-learn things. Too many things on my mind these days.

Second thing…there have been some big challenges here at McClendon Villa this year, starting with the winter storm damage to our home. We survived. The house, not so much. It is a work in progress.

Most recently, our yard was attacked by Hurricane Nicholas. That has been fun to work on with a bad knee and shoulders, but I enjoy the yard work.

Third, and most important, our family has been hit with some very scary health challenges that I am not at liberty to get into here. Please keep our family in your prayers.

And, to end this first post in over a year…we’re expecting two grandbabies…FINALLY! Everyone else, cousins and siblings alike, got started on them years ago, when they were young enough to chase them around. I can’t wait!

Have a blessed evening, y’all. 🙂

Tiggy and Mommy researching together. 🙂

    • Thank you so much, Sandee. It is good to be back. I don’t know how regularly I will post while we adjust to our newest new normal, but I hope to post at least once a week.

I am happy that all is well for you and your family. Thank you very much for the prayers. They are appreciated more than I can express.

Tiggy is my precious baby. He was the first of the three that trusted me. 🙂

Have a blessed day and rest of the week, too. ♥

    • Thank you! It is good to hear from you (and Sandee), too. I appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, and compassion all of you have had for us in light of David’s big health challenges.

We are very excited about the grandbabies! The first one to be due is a little boy. It’s too early to tell on the other one yet. The grandson is already named Eric, which is David’s middle name. That makes him smile from ear-to-ear. 🙂

Tiggy is my sweetheart. He’s a big kitty, about 16 pounds, and so full of love. 🙂 ❤

    • Thanks, my friend!

Yes, it sure has been full of challenges for both of us. Hopefully we passed whatever test so that we can have a bit of relaxing time now!

Thank you. Our grandson has been born, but we haven’t been able to meet him yet. The other baby coming in the Spring is said to be a little girl. YAY! One of each. 🙂 Of course, we’ll be happy regardless of the gender. What blessings babies are!

Heavenly Father has blessed us so very much. ❤
