Thank you all for everything! I appreciate you very much. {{{Hugs}}}

Here are the fill-ins:

  1. I have been ____________for _____________.
  2. Have you ________________________________?
  3. I always ______________ this time of year.
  4. The world could use more ________________.

Here are my responses:

I have been in pain for days now. RA, rain, and cold (a Texas identity crisis!) are just not good buddies.

Have you ever taken a DNA test? Would you? Why or why not?

I always get a little misty this time of year. Thanksgiving especially reminds me of those I no longer have with me…and this year, doubly so.

The world could use more kindness and compassion and more faith in Heavenly Father.

Have a blessed weekend, y’all!

    My husband and I just did our tests tonight and I have to mail them in the morning. We just want to know what we are, so that we know. We’ve both basically divorced our families so we don’t really have any relatives to connect with.

    I’m so sorry you’re hurting and in so much pain. Hopefully the weather will stop being so wet soon, and you can begin to have some relief in that regard, too. I pray for you always.

    • Thank you, Vanessa. I appreciate the prayers very much. {{{Hugs}}}

      I hope that your DNA adventure is a fun one. Which company did you use? Wouldn’t it be cool if we did show up as twins, for real? 🙂

      Have a blessed weekend!

        We used 23andMe. It would not surprise me in the least to discover we were actually related! lol It would make perfect sense, considering how alike we are in so many things. ❤

        And, you know, in a very real way we are sisters, as we have the same Father. xoxox

  2. I agree with the last one! The world can definitely use more of those characteristics!

  4. Hope you feel better soon, that’s a lot of bad staff you have to deal with. Prayers continued here for both of you.
    I haven’t done DNA testing so far, there was no need.
    Agree on #4, it would make the world so much better!
    Have a blessed week!

    • Thank you, Viola. {{{Hugs}}} How are you doing? I appreciate the prayers very much. You’re in my prayers, too.

      There wasn’t an actual need, really, when I first did my DNA test in 2016. It was purely for genealogical research purposes. I was hoping for matches with people that could help me break through the brick wall of one of my maternal 2nd great-grandmothers. We also have a brick wall with one of David’s great-grandmas, so he did one, too. Both of our mothers tested as well. We were hoping for matches that would lead us to more information about the families of those grandmas. So far, no real luck on that. We definitely got way more than I bargained for with mine once my sister/half sister did her test in 2018! She opened up a mystery that I never even knew existed.

      Even with the bad that has been brought forth with mine, I still encourage people to have it done if they are even the list bit interested in family history and definitely to get the older relatives tested. Their tests can unlock even more clues. In all the chaos, there has also been adventure and discovery and a whole lot of learning, not just about genetics, but about people, too.

      Here’s to some day having a more compassionate world. 🙂

      Have a blessed weekend!

      • I just finished another impatient treatment last week (depression is a bitch), but I am feeling good right now.
        DNA doesn’t lie and doesn’t care about what people say, and this makes it so powerful.
        Have a good start into the new week!

    Very cute kittens, Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except I am sorry you are in pain. Also sorry you feel so much loss this time of year I try to focus on who I still have like my mom and hubby. It is just the 3 of us again for Thanksgiving because my niece has other places to be. Plus all our kitties-more turkey for them. Have a blessed weekend. Please tell Dave I am thinking of him too. XO
