Here are my responses:

On New Year’s Eve, I look forward to watching the ball drop on Times Square. I just hope we’ll be able to find someone broadcasting it online. It looks like it will be just me and David, together with the furbabies, ringing in this new year. At least it looks like we’ll be doing this at home instead of a blasted hospital or nursing home!

A goal I have for 2019 is…Well, I have several! They are: To grow From the Kitchen of McClendon Villa, to increase my creative writing output, discover the identity of my earthly father, and most importantly, grow a deeper relationship with Heavenly Father.

I haven’t spent too much time pondering my “one word” for 2019. Just as I was thinking about it now, the word “Trust” came to mind. That was also the word for 2016. I guess I still have a lot of work to do on that one.

New beginnings can be both exciting and scary. May 2019 be a year of exciting new beginnings for all of us!

Have a blessed weekend and happy New Year, y’all!

This year we will be on our own with our pets as well. I think we will spend the day as usual, and than start looking pop concerts and have a nice meal. As long as everybody is healthy, I am okay with everything!
I wish you all the best for the new year and your goals!

  6. We love your 2019 word, trust is so important. The Female Human is learning that the most important trust to have is trust in The God of the Universe as He is the only one Who will not disappoint or hurt us.

We wish you a blessed and happy 2019.

    • Thank you. I agree. I know that He has it all under control and, ultimately, everything is going to be just fine. It’s that time between “now” and “ultimately” that I’m not so sure about. Trust of humans is something that I really need to work on.

I hope that all goes well for your Female Human in her pursuit of trust, too, and for all of you in The Tribe of Five.

Thank you. I wish a blessed and happy New Year for you all!

First of all, that festive kitty photo is absolutely adorable! Second, thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I think trust is a wonderful word to guide us all. Wishing you and your entire family much happiness, health, and blessings in 2019!

    • Thanks! I’m glad that you enjoyed the kitty. I thought it was adorable, too. 🙂

I think it is a great word, but is something that can be very hard to do. It is in the “getting harder and harder” category for me.

Thank you for the well wishes. I hope the same for you and your family. Here’s to a year full of smiles and laughter!

      Have a blessed day. 🙂

This will be a good year for you. I believe this wholeheartedly!

My word for the year – I’m actually trying this for the 1st time – is discipline. I suspect lots of people would roll their eyes at me! lol

Blessings to you dear one! xoxox

    • That is a great word! I know I need more of it. 🙂 Why would folks roll their eyes at you for choosing that word?

Blessings to you, too, my sweet friend. 🙂

They would roll their eyes because Procrastination is my twin, and I’m barely an acquaintance with Discipline, let alone on a first name basis, surely not close enough to be so intimate as to name it my One Word for all of 2019.

As with all changes, they begin with fits and starts, don’t they? Discipline and I have had a few spats already, and he wants to leave me, but I’m committed. Maybe we’ll grow to like each other before the year is through. 😉

Blessings dear one! Praying for you! ❤ xoxox

        • Best wishes to you on your journey to build a relationship with Discipline. I think Discipline and I would be incompatible. 🙂

Yes, fits and starts are all a part of the package. I’m finding more stops than starts in the form of brick walls so far this year, but maybe that will change. At least I’m stubborn. haha

I think that you will do absolutely great on your journey this year. 🙂

Thanks for the prayers, my sweet friend. ❤ (((Hugs)))
