Is there one post on your site that is really special to you?  (credit for this one goes to CrushedCaramel )

Yes, the photo shoot with our daughter post is really special to me. I enjoy these fun times with her.

How do you deal with negative people?  (Athling2001 gets credit for this one)

I am considered a negative person, though I view myself as a realist.  I usually try to figure out why they are being negative and try to help them through it.

What is the first thing you think of when you wake in the morning?

It would be something along the lines of, “I sure hope no one is in the bathroom!”

Would you rather be able to talk with the animals or speak all foreign languages?

While I think it would be cool to speak all foreign languages (especially if this could be my secret super power!), I would love to be able to speak to and understand our fur babies when they are meowing or barking or ribbiting.

November is a month in which many people give thanks.  America (and other countries) celebrate an actual Thanksgiving Day. For example, Canada celebrates this in October.

This month the gratitude question will address your life and what things you’ve received or done, that have brought you joy and sometimes relief perhaps.

What small thing happened today (or in the past few days) that you were grateful for?

I am grateful that our boy kitties made it through “the surgery” just fine this morning and for a vet that didn’t demand all the money up front.

I am also thankful that when the falling tree trunk hit me the other day, it didn’t cause significant injury (though my chest hurt something fierce for a while afterwards).

Glad the kitties made it through their ordeal okay. 🙂
What is going on there, Suzanne? First dogs, now trees attacking you? Not funny, I know, and I’m glad you survived both incidents! ❤

  2. Oh my gosh!!! You got hit by a falling tree? Wow! I think that would be something to be extremely grateful for…the part where you didn’t get seriously hurt….you did get checked out to make sure, right? Wow again! Thank you for sharing your beautiful world! And I’m glad your boys came through their surgery fine as well! Small blessings..

    • Yes, I did get hit by the tree, but, no, I didn’t go to the ER. I think it just scared me more than anything, though my chest did hurt for quite a while afterwards. I’m not having any more trouble breathing than I ordinarily do (I have COPD). I’m okay. I’m just too old to be outside, I think. haha
      Thank you. 🙂
      Have a blessed weekend!

  3. It would be great to understand our furbabies. Humans can find ways to communicate, but it’s more difficult with animals.
Well, I am thankful as well that the tree didn’t hit you full force….

    • I think sometimes that our kitties really, really want to communicate something to us. They keep trying to pick up our ink pens, like they want to write something. Wouldn’t it be cool if they did?

Thank you. If it had full-force hit me or landed on me, I’d be a goner. That thing was really heavy!

Have a blessed weekend, Viola. 🙂

You are definitely not a negative person. I am sorry you got hit with a falling tree. I am glad you are OK. And I am glad you were able to get the boy kitties fixed. XO

    • Thank you, Ellen. I guess I’m made of stock so tough that even a tree can’t kill me. 🙂
I’m glad we were able to get them taken care of, too. Hopefully it was in time. Our little girlie is clearly in her first heat. Boy, that girl can talk up a storm, too. 🙂
      Have a blessed weekend!
