Death due to poverty, especially in one of the richest countries in the world, is an awful tragedy.
I always read the puzzle and comic sections of the newspaper. Well, I did back when we subscribed to the print version back home in South Carolina.
Black cats rock! They are adorable and one of ours, Drac, is a little vampire that loves biting toes!
Shrimp and cheesecake are my absolute favorite treat, but we rarely get to have those. Tonight we were testing a recipe for frosted sugar cookies and maybe those will be a new favorite. We made bats and black cats and some that would have been skulls if we hadn’t eaten them before I could frost them. I am blessed to have a hubby that is willing to make the sacrifice and taste test the goodies. 🙂

My last kitty and my last dog were black. I tend to go for black fur-babies.

What did you name your black furbabies?
We’ve had a lot of black kitties over the years and a few tuxedo kitties.
We’ve only ever had one solid black dog since we got married. His name was Bin. I was pregnant with our first baby and at home sick. Bin was apparently a stray. He was hit by a car in front of our house and that’s how he became our dog.
I bet you’d be a great cookie tester. 🙂

Those are some great answers. I hope the shrimp and cheesecake aren’t mixed together. TW gets the paper mainly for the crossword puzzles.

I’m no good at crossword puzzles, but I love the cryptogram, or whatever it is called, and those puzzles where you have to spot the differences in the pictures, as well as word search puzzles.

Years ago we had a couple of black cats, named Blackie & Diamond. Well, come Halloween, my daughter’s costume was as a black cat, and our cats took one look and started hissing! haha!
Your cookies sound yummy! I used to make lots of frosted & decorated cookies for Halloween & Christmas. 🙂

Yeah, she was crawling around on the floor in her costume and meowing at the cats. Guess they thought she was being too real for them! 🙂
I just made the old fashioned tea cake cookie recipe, and used cookie cutters for each holiday. Then just made powdered sugar icing of different colors to decorate & draw things and words on them.

I’m glad the kitties didn’t hurt her. You never can be sure with animals, especially around babies. My cousin’s baby girl was mauled by their cat when she was a toddler. She was about a hair’s breadth from being blinded, the claws got so close to her eyes.

Homemade cookies sound yummy. I baked bran muffins for us today. We are going to bake some Christmas cookies with our granddaughter. She’s 2 1/2 so it should be lots of fun. Have a great weekend.

Thank you. He started out with the name Sparkles, but apparently was not impressed with that. Once our daughter changed his name to Drac, he started loving me. 🙂
