31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes – Day 19

31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes

Please join everyone at Five Minute Friday for 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes throughout the month of October.

Friday, 19 October 2018

When I first read this prompt, one of the first things to pop into my head was, “Who do you say that I am?” Jesus said it to Simon Peter in Matthew 16.

I say that He is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, my Lord and Savior. He is my Redeemer. He died so that I might live. He is my Protector and Comforter.

He is the “Who” that I want to please, want to live for, want to share with the world.

When this life is over, He is the “Who” that will come for me. I look forward to that day.

You know, a verse that makes my spine tingle is from Acts, where this guy was trying to cast out demons even though he wasn’t a believer. He said, “In the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches …”
Well, the demon in the possessed person answered back, “I know Jesus. (think of that! present tense! wow!) I’ve heard of Paul. (I’m pretty sure none of them have heard of me!) Now who are you?” Then the demon possessed person proceeded to beat the crap of the guy.

    Who am I? I am His. 🙂

    Blessings! ❤

  4. I think that is a cool story, too. I find it really something that the demons know Heavenly Father, believe in His existence, and don’t argue that fact, but admit He exists, especially when some humans are so bloody adamant that He doesn’t exist. I agree, it is very spine tingling!

I am very glad that we are His.

Have a blessed weekend and a very Happy Thanksgiving. 🙂
