12 New & Improved Amazing Facts About Suz

Hop on over to Stunning Keisha’s blog and join the fun!

  1. What is your favorite day of the week?

All of the days are pretty much the same around here, but if I had to pick a favorite, I think it would be Saturday.

  1. What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

I think I would have to say the herbed livers that I attempted to make as a newlywed. You can hear all about them here on David’s video.

  1. What small business would you like to start?

There are so many!  I would love to make and sell pottery as my ancestors did. I would love to run a bookstore and a yarn store.  I think having a tea room would be fun in many ways. I can’t pinpoint just one thing, but at this point in my life, I really need for any business I am involved with to be a home-based and home-run business.

  1. What is the best food on a hot summer day?

Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate Ice Cream!

  1. When have you had a small decision bring big consequences?

Stepping outside of our house on the morning of 8 September 2018 brought big consequences. It was the morning that I was attacked by a pack of big dogs.

6. What vegetable do you like?

I love veggies, most all of them!  My favorite, however, is a tie between broccoli and Brussels sprouts.

  1. Where are you most likely to be at 8:00 on a Saturday night?

I would either be in my recliner reading or here on my computer.

  1. What slang word or phrase do you like to use?

“People be like”…or some variation of it.  I think it is hilarious and it makes me laugh to say it.

  1. Did you ever want to change your name? If so to what?

Yes, I have thought about it.  I have thought about changing my name to the way my daddy wanted it to be in the first place – Suzie Annie.

  1. What food do you crave?

Two foods are on this list – shrimp and cheesecake!

  1. If your life had a soundtrack what song would you pick for it?

“Head Above Water” by Avril.  Our oldest daughter introduced me to this song recently and I can relate to it on so many levels.

  1. If you could have lunch with anyone living who would it be?

David, and I do have lunch with him on a daily basis. I also think it could be fun to have lunch with the relatives that we’ve learned about during our family history research.  We have been in contact with two of David’s dad’s first cousins. I think it would be great to meet them some day.

Nice to learn more about you with these facts. I had strawberry cheesecake today from The Cheesecake Factory, it was so good. And expensive- a once a year, if that, indulgence.

    • Thank you, Ellen. That cheesecake sounds wonderful. 🙂 I’ve never been to The Cheesecake Factory. There is one up in Sugar Land near the Barnes and Noble (about 45 or so miles away), but we’ve never been in there. Maybe some day. 🙂
      Have a blessed night.

I love Avril and Brussel sprouts too! 🙂 My favourite veggie would probably be parsnip though. I could eat roast parsnip forever!

Nice to learn a little more about you. I love broccoli, too. I’m sorry that you were attacked by those dogs. One can’t even step out of their house in safety lately.

Yikes, you were attacked by a pack of dogs? How did I miss that post?

Now I’m hungry for that ice cream.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

    • Howdy, Sandee. It happened about 9am on Saturday, 8 September. I can’t remember what had me going out that time of the morning, unless it was to check on the three little kitties (they are now living inside with us!). Those big dogs were out there in the carport, which is where the door lead that I went out. I tried to run them off and hollered over for the neighbor, hoping she’d hear me, even though she was inside her house. She couldn’t hear anything. Her bathroom is basically soundproof and all she could hear was her little ones playing in the hallway. Her son, whose room is right at the corner where I was screaming my head off while getting bitten, thought he was dreaming. He looked out the window and saw the attack happening. When he realized it wasn’t a dream, he started yelling for her, that they were attacking me. She came out just after David got out there. He heard the ruckus of the dogs, but not my screaming.

I have to go for now, but will finish this when I get back.
      See ya!

    • Ok, I’m back now. It was four or five dogs, one a full-blooded German Shepherd. The rest were his offspring, which are mixed with something like a pit bull, but I don’t think that’s the name the owner used. When they stand on their hind legs, they are taller than our 4-ft fence. They pushed through under the fence to get out, apparently, but could have easily gone over it.

I posted about it on Instagram the day it happened and again a week or so later, but I don’t think I posted on the blogs about it. I don’t remember doing that, anyway.

I could go for some of that ice cream myself right now. 🙂

      Have a blessed evening!

Fun questions, and I liked reading your answers.
Love the ‘people be like…’ phrase! It’s a good one.
It would be wonderful if you could have a pottery shop, and a little bookstore would be something I’d like, too! 🙂

Ice cream, yum! I used to work in an ice cream store as a teen! lol Still one of my all time favorite foods but I only have it once a year now. 🙂

Have you been adding to your pottery skills?

To connect your instagram and wordpress, go to ifttt. Here’s a “recipe” for you. 🙂 https://ifttt.com/applets/XtwWPrki-post-your-instagram-photos-to-wordpress

    Blessings! xoxox

    • That sounds like a cool job to have. If I worked in an ice cream shop, they’d have to roll me out by the end of my shift.😜
I have been watching pottery videos whenever I have the chance to, which isn’t very often these days. Everyone else has so much that they need me to do, there isn’t much time for fun stuff. The desire is still here. I am hoping our cooking channel will ultimately finance the pottery dream.
Thanks for the ifttt link. I will see if I can get it to work for me. Have a blessed day!
