Friendly Fill-Ins

This is a fun meme co-hosted by 15 and Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs. Be sure to visit and join in the fun!

New Friday_Fill-In_BadgeHere are the fill-ins:

1. ______________________ brings out the best in me.

2. _______________________makes me grumpier than Grumpy Cat.

3. If money grew on trees, I would _________.

4. I have a fear of _________.

Here are my responses:

Reading my Bible and learning what I am meant to do, how I am meant to live, brings out the best in me.

People hurting or otherwise bothering my children makes me grumpier than Grumpy Cat.  Someone getting between me and my children, literally or figuratively, makes me even grumpier than that.

If money grew on trees, I would happily live in a forest. Of course, I would happily live in a forest anyway.  I grew up in the woods and that is the setting that makes me happiest…Well, the woods and old cemeteries. But I wouldn’t want to live in a cemetery. 🙂

I have a fear of being abandoned and unloved. This has a basis in my childhood and has been a battle my entire life.

Please visit our daughter Maggie and her cat Martha over at: Martha’s Daily Mews.

Have a blessed weekend, y’all!

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I know David and your kids would not abandon you, you are a wonderful woman. That is a beautiful Fall photo, I can’t wait for Fall. Have a nice weekend! XO

    • Thank you, Ellen. That is a sweet comment. I have, unfortunately, had some not so wonderful moments. I think you’re a wonderful woman, too, so caring and compassionate.
That fall photo reminds me so much of back home in South Carolina. David and I have never seen colors like this here in this part of Texas, at least not in person. There is a photo on the wall at the hospital, taken in the state park in the next county, that is a beautiful, colorful fall scene almost like this one. I hope we can get over there some day to see it so colorful. My camera won’t stop clicking, for sure, if we come across a scene like that. 🙂
I hope you have an awesome Fall! Have a blessed weekend.

First of all, I just love the beautiful autumnal image you shared. I cannot wait for autumn. Second of all, thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! You are so right about #1. And I really like how you answered #3. Living in a forest, especially if it contained money trees, would be wonderful. Have a beautiful day!

    • Thank you. I hope that you have a beautiful autumn. I always enjoy the fill-ins. They let me pause to think about different things that I don’t often have occasion to think about.
I hope that you have a blessed weekend. 🙂

Something about your first answer reminded me of this lovely quote I heard the other day. “You are most yourself when you’re wrapped up in your purpose and not your position.”
I hope you have a wonderful day!

  6. Yes, forests always have such a calming atmosphere. Somebody so full of faith and love will always be loved, but I know fears often are irrational.
