New Friday_Fill-In_BadgeHere are the fill-ins:

  1. My favorite Disney character is __________________.
    2. If I could stay any age for life, I would choose to be age ___________________.
    3. _________ is my secret talent.
    4. Life is like a _________.

Here are my responses:

My favorite Disney character is Grandma Tala from Moana. She is such an expressive, loving, and supportive grandma. She knew what was inside Moana to do, her destiny, and helped her to it. She is the one that speaks one of my most favorite lines in that movie:  “There’s nowhere you could go that I won’t be with you.” It gets to me every time I hear it.

Part of me says that I would choose to stay 17, but, although David and I were together then, we weren’t yet married and I was still under parental authority. So, I will choose 19. At 19, I was a young married girl with my whole life ahead of me and no clue of the many things that were ahead for me or would be removed from me. It was a time of hope and excitement. AND, a much better body!

I think any talent I have must be a secret because I haven’t found an actual talent yet.  Maybe that will change once I get more into the pottery making. I sure hope so. I don’t want to disappoint my ancestors, too.

Life is like a big puzzle without a picture on the box front. Maybe you can find the edge pieces with no problem, but the rest you’re on your own trying to get all figured out. Each piece is a surprise.

Our daughter Maggie has a new blog for her furbaby Martha. You can find it at: Martha’s Daily Mews

Have a blessed weekend, y’all!

Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I can’t believe I have yet to watch Moana. Now I am even more eager to do so. And your answer to #4 is so clever and profound. How true it is that we have to put our own life puzzle together, without having an image to guide us. That sure can make life both fun and a bit difficult at times, but that’s not always a bad thing. Have a beautiful day!

    • Thank you, too, Lorianne. I hope that you can watch Moana soon and that you enjoy it as much as I do. It is a regular feature around here.😊
I am glad that you also liked my answer to #4. It hit me just as I read the prompt. Usually I have to ponder them a bit before answering them. Not this time. 😊 Have a blessed weekend.

  5. Excellent answer to #4, and i’m sure you have more talents than you are thinking about. Things you do every day that you don’t give yourself credit can be talents. Happy Friday!

    • Thanks, Mimi. I appreciate your encouragement. 🙂 I think that one talent I’ve recently developed is making Cracker Barrel-flavored biscuits. The folks here at least act like they like them. I do and they aren’t hard to make, either. So, there’s an every day talent. Have a blessed weekend. 🙂

The Female Human really liked your response to “life is like a puzzle”. But it’s different for cats because we don’t put puzzles together, our job is to take them apart, bat the pieces around the room and under furniture and then watch the Humans scramble to find the pieces they need. Very exciting!

    • Oh yeah! That makes puzzle play lots more fun. 🙂 Our Angel Xerxes would have loved that game, too. He didn’t like for anything to stay on a horizontal surface. If he saw anything on a table, it was his job to get on that table and casually sweep it off with his tail or swat it off with his paw. I could almost see him whistling and saying, “What? Me? I didn’t do that.” And, “It was on MY table!” 🙂
Purrs and Head Bonks back at you all! Have a blessed weekend. 🙂

TW used to do puzzles all the time before cat. She did one that was a purple paint splotch—no edge and all one color. That’s life.
