What Kind of Butterfly Are You?

Hey, Vanessa, we’re twins again!

“You Are Papilio Onesimus”

You are a naturally helpful person, and you enjoy nurturing those around you. You sense what others need.

You are quite gentle and sensitive. You may be easily wounded, but you can rise to the occasion when others need you.

You value beauty, and you try to have a personal environment that soothes your soul. You have an artist’s eye.

You may be an idealist, but you are more of a realist when it comes down to it. Your practicality has gotten you far.

    Love this!

I’m guessing you are in the INxx bracket of the Meyers-Briggs personality tests. Have you ever taken those? I’ve taken them for years but I’ve come across some websites recently that are more in depth, and I feel like I’m learning so much more about myself. It’s a bit disconcerting in a way, lol.

    • Thanks. 🙂
Could you share the more in depth websites with me? I think this is an interesting subject.
I have taken the Meyers-Briggs tests a few times. I had to do it for a college class, but I’ve also done it on my own. I will get back to you on what the last result was. I think it is stored in my external hard drive along with about 9 million other unsorted files. haha
Have a blessed night and Sunday. 🙂

    • Okay, I was able to find the results of one of the older tests. I’m still looking for the more recent one, but no luck so far. This test was done 9 August 2012.
      INFJ
      67% Introvert
You have a distinctive preference of Introversion over Extroversion.
      38% Intuitive
You have a moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing.
      38% Intuitive Feeling
You have a moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking.
      56% Judging
You have a moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving.

What were the results of yours? I think I’m going to re-do this one and see how much has changed in the last 6 years. 🙂

      INFJ
      78% Introvert
You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%)

      3% Intuitive
You have marginal or no preference of Intuition over Sensing (3%)

      41% Feelings
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (41%)

      28% Judging
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (28%)

I’m not at all surprised that the percentage has increased on Introversion. I am, however, confused about the drastic change in Intuition over Sensing.

Both tests were taken here: http://www.humanmetrics.com/personality

But, the layout of the test has changed and I don’t remember the questions being like this either. I seem to remember a whole lot more questions.

Love it! I knew it! lolol I’m also – well, let me clarify. All my life, since I first learned of the tests in the early 90s, I’ve been INTJ. Earlier this year, I started scoring INFJ and learned that of all the personalities, INFJ are most commonly mis-typed, and they mistype as INTJ. I think the test I took was also from the same site you listed. It showed me that I was at 50/50 on the T/F marker. It explained so much to me! Why a tiny bit of the INTJ stuff didn’t quite fit, and I saw how the INFJ stuff did fill in those blanks. Some say you can’t be 2 types, but I see the types as a scale. Some days you lean one way, other days you lean more the other way. You stay within basic parameters but you can fluctuate between some of the lesser qualities. My husband is a very dominant I, but he’s middle of the road on the other 3 so he’s all over the map, score-wise.

You can try the one at https://www.16personalities.com/ and see if you get the same results. It wouldn’t surprise me if you actually came in with an ISFJ on a test, since your N was only 3%. It’s like a pendulum, swing this way your N, that way you’re S. We’re humans, we’re flexible. 😀

I was very proud of my INTJ status, but I’m coming to terms with being INFJ. Sometimes, most times, I now just say INxJ, lol.

        • Hey there! I’m sorry for the several days delay in this response. Things got crazy here (what else is new?!)

Cool. 🙂 Like you, I don’t think we’re hard and fast in any one type, all the time. I think that we can float back and forth between types depending on circumstances.

I went to the site that you linked and took their test. I still had the INF, but the J turned to a P on this one. This one also had Turbulent/Assertive, which wasn’t a part of the other test.

This one had pretty interesting results and I don’t disagree with the 96% Introverted either!

          Mediator (INFP-T)

          96% Introverted
          58% Intuitive
          81% Feeling
56% Prospecting (On the other test, Judging was paired with Perceptive)
78% Turbulent (If this has to do with major mood swings, like Mr. Kennedy said about Scarlet O’Hara in Gone With The Wind, then, yeah, me to a T!)

When I started this response several days ago, I had other things to say to you, but those thoughts are long gone now. Maybe they will come back to me eventually. 🙂

          Have a blessed week!
