27. If there were no restrictions such as money or employment, where would you most like to live?

I ponder this question often, but I just don’t know the answer.  I know I want to live out in a very rural area, not in town like we do.  Where that rural area is isn’t really so important at this point in my life.  South Carolina would be nice, but here in Texas would be okay, too. I just want to be out in the boonies somewhere!

  1. Suzanne,

If money and employment weren’t an issue then I’d have a couple of homes in different parts to accommodate the changing seasons or personal whims. I think it would be awesome to have a beautiful log cabin in the mountains. It could be in the western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains or along the rugged shoreline of Maine during the summer and in the winters…I’m not sure where I’d have a home, maybe right here. Our climate is fairly moderate. We do get some cold days but they aren’t extreme for the most part and run rather short compared to others places in the US. I really need to start playing the lottery. Someone is going to win, it may as well be me! 😉

    • Hi Cathy,

Yes, it may as well be you! That would be a wonderful win.
I think if money were no object, one place that I’d love to own would be Biltmore Estate. It is beautiful no matter what time of year, but in the fall, those colors in the gorge are just awesome!

I think a log cabin in the mountains would be a wonderful idea. I’ve seen some for sale, but way out of my price range. I’ve also seen some parked right on the edge of a cliff. I don’t know that I’d like that. I’d be scared to death of the wind flying it off the mountain. 🙂

Have a blessed weekend, my friend!

Hi Suzanne, rural life is great, but now I’m living in a town I don’t mind it half as much as I thought I would bring up a family it is an advantage.

Out in the boonies! 🙂 I hope you get there some day, but still close enough to shopping and all, so as not to have to drive a long ways. … Here’s my entries for Day 27 & 28: http://wp.me/p3RE1e-3Kx

    • The boonies are the best. 🙂 Thank you. If we were far enough out, we’d probably try to buy everything online. But, you can’t deal with doctors that way. Have to see those in person. One of the places that I looked up was over 3 hours from a hospital. We can’t be that far from a hospital. As it is, we’re between a half hour and an hour from one, depending on the traffic flow.

Thanks for your link. Have a blessed weekend. 🙂
