Here are the fill-ins:

  1. Blind dates ____________________________.
  2. _______________years ago, I ____________.
  3. I admire ___________ because ___________.
  4. _____________makes me think _____________.

Here are my responses:

Blind dates may be exciting, but they are too risky.

Forty-six years ago, I started first grade and it warped me for life! You can read more about that first day of school here on PS Annie!.

I admire David because he did not slink back into a corner after his strokes. He came out fighting. I admire our daddies because, though they had their moments, they did what was necessary to take care of their families.  I admire my grandma and granny because they were able to love in spite of all the hurt they had suffered at the hands of people that allegedly loved them.

Talk about South Carolina makes me think about how much I want to go home, if only for a visit.

Have a blessed weekend, y’all!

I was afraid of a blind date too, but I am glad I changed my mind or I wouldn’t have met my hubby. I think it is impressive that David has kept going and coming up with new ideas, etc. after such a life changing event. I hope you get to South Carolina soon. I am going to check out your post about first grade now. Have a nice weekend!

    • Thank you, Ellen. I’m glad that you took the chance and met the love of your life because of it. 🙂
Thank you also regarding David. I think that it is great that he can come up with new ideas, too, and bring them into being. He’s a tough cookie and knows doing these things is one way to rebuild his neural pathways from the damage caused by the strokes. Who knows, maybe he’ll be even stronger than before the strokes as he keeps going. 🙂
      Have a blessed weekend!
