Here are the fill-ins:

  1. A recurring dream I have is _____________________.
  2. Turn ______________ into ________________________.
  3. _____________________________ is driving me crazy!
  4. Lately, I have been _____________________________.

Here are my responses:

A recurring dream that I have has me in the cold, hard, stone belly of a tremendous building.  Sometimes this is the basement. Sometimes it is a hallway on the way to a cavernous attic.  There is a feeling of terror, of abandonment, of the shadow people coming to get me.  I say “a feeling” because I have no recollection of what actually happens in the dream, just the long, stone hallways.  Only the feelings remain.  The most frequent scenario is the attic, which leaves far more terrifying feelings than those of the basement.

Turn bananas into pudding. OR, for a more adventurous endeavor, turn beets into pudding like my daddy did once.

My long zoom lens is driving me crazy! It is having trouble focusing and just keeps spinning back and forth trying to find its place. Sometimes it focuses okay, but more often than not lately, I’m left with very blurry cardinals!

Lately, I have been both invigorated and unmotivated. Nothing like being on both sides of the fence, eh?

Thank you for these great answers. I m sorry your lens in giving you trouble. That is a scary dream, I am sure it has a deep meaning. I have made brownies out of beets, but never pudding- how was that? I hope you can stay motivated 🙂 Have a great weekend! XO

    • Thanks, Ellen, for the great questions. 🙂

I’ve had this lens a few years, but until relatively recently, I have very rarely used it. I bumped into the wall while carrying it not too long ago. Now, I’m wondering if that is why it isn’t working.

How did the brownies with beets taste? I don’t remember completely how the beet-instead-of-banana pudding tasted, but I must have liked it. I don’t remember throwing up. 🙂

I’m trying to stay motivated. Just some moments, it is very hard to.

Thanks. Have a blessed weekend. 🙂

I bet the beet pudding was as good, or better, than Nana’s mashed turnips. I love you. Zing! ZIng!

I have some scary attic dreams, too. Yours sounds pretty spooky with the shadow people! …Have a great weekend! 🙂

    • I have a pretty good idea what makes the attic dreams very scary for me. Do you know what prompts your scary attic dreams?
Thanks! Have a blessed weekend, too. 🙂

No, I have no idea why I have scary attic dreams. We did have an attic in the house I grew up in, and we loved going up there to prowl through boxes of stuff that was stored up there. That wasn’t scary at all, it was fun! … Oh, I asked my daughter what blood type she is (referring to the mosquito theory), and she says she is O Neg. Guess we don’t fit that theory. 🙂

        • Thank you in regards to the blood type. My grandma was O-, too. 🙂

It does seem strange that you’d have scary attic dreams after having so much fun in attics as a kid. I was traumatized about going upstairs as a child. We’d visit the home of my great-grandpa’s brother. My great-grand-uncle’s daughter lived there with my great-grandpa’s sister. Any time I tried to go up the stairs, the daughter would say, “The goblins are going to get you if you go up there!” My adult mind knows she was just trying to keep me out of stuff and that there (probably) weren’t really goblins up there, but I can’t go upstairs anywhere without having scary feelings and attics hold the scariest ones.

Have a blessed night, Barbara. 🙂

With the warning of goblins in the attic, I can understand being scared! Things like that stick with you, even in your dreams, I think. Hope they are infrequent. 🙂

          • Thanks. I would be happy to never have those dreams again. I’ve had them several times over the last month or so.
Yes, things like that most definitely stick with you. I don’t think Cousin Rose realized the effect that she was having on me with her goblin warning. But, she spooked me really good!
            Have a blessed evening. 🙂

I rarely have scary dreams but sometimes I dream I am lost and can’t find my way home. I will pass on the beet pudding. Hope your motivation gets invigorated.

    • Being lost dreams can be very upsetting.
I think my daddy decided to pass on it, too, after that because I don’t remember him ever making it again. I still remember the shock, wondering why on earth my banana pudding was reddish. haha
Thank you. I’m sure it will be re-invigorated again eventually.
      Have a blessed weekend!

Oh, your dream sounds scary. I had waking up with that feeling even if don’t know what actually took place. Your #2 is cute. I like the idea of turning bananas into pudding!

I think I understand #4. It’s hard sometimes to always stay motivated. I think prayer helps.

    • It is pretty scary and sometimes very confusing. I have no idea what triggers these dreams. Thankfully, this batch of dreams doesn’t happen too terribly often.

I like the idea of turning bananas into pudding, too. My daddy and granny both made wonderful banana puddings, complete with meringue on top. I loved it!

Thank you. I hope that prayer will help this motivation issue very soon.

      Have a blessed weekend!

  6. I occasionally dream of scary houses. We moved constantly when I was a kid, so maybe it is that. I have claustrophobia, so any place that confines me is scary.
I like beets, but, pudding? not sure about that!
Invigorated and unmotivated…? That is interesting. Sounds like you are restless. You need a day trip or outing of some kind!

    Liked by 1 person

    • Maybe the multiple moves are at the root of your scary house dreams. We moved several times when I was a child, but I was only old enough to really be aware of two of the moves. I was five for one and 13 for the other. Those were the last two moves I made with my parents. I have claustrophobia, too.
Maybe I’m restless, I don’t know. I just feel like there are things that I need to get done NOW, because the clock is ticking, but don’t have the energy left to do them. On one level, I would love to go on an outing, but the practical side of me knows that I need to just stay here.
Thanks for the fill-ins! Have a blessed evening. 🙂

      • I went to eleven schools. We lived in about seven Chicago apts, two places in Ohio, three in Texas, and two more in Illinois. Some were okay, some were not good. I do think my dreams mean something, but don’t seem related to places.

Suz, the clock has always been ticking and will continue to click. Just relax and enjoy the blessings you have. You have no way of knowing what will happen or when. Trust that God controls the clock and everything else, too. He’s got you. Hugs.
