Vivaldi
Antonio Lucio Vivaldi was born 4 March 1678 and died 28 July 1741. He was an Italian virtuoso violinist and a great Baroque composer.
Spring, from The Four Seasons series of violin concertos, composed between 1717-1721.
This great composer and musician died in poverty. The funeral for this man, who spent his whole life giving so much to the world of music, was conducted with no music. That seems so very sad to me!

Beautiful music! That was sad, his funeral with no music. I do like violin and orchestra music. I played violin in the school orchestra from 6th grade throughout high school. I still have it, and bring it out once in awhile. The cats don’t much like it though. haha!

I can’t imagine a funeral with no music, most especially for a musician. It just seems so very weird and most definitely sad to me.
How cool that you can play the violin! That is something that I wanted to learn when I was in elementary school. Back where I went to elementary school, they started instrument lessons in 4th grade, but my parents couldn’t afford me that opportunity. You are so blessed to have been able to do such a thing. I bet you play it beautifully, too, regardless of what the kitties think about it haha.

Awesome choices for V! I love classical music, but it makes me very sad that Vivaldi’s funeral had no music.
Does your little green guy live indoors or out? A couple times I’ve found toads here in my garden, but not last year.

Yes, that is very sad. That would be akin to an artist like Michelangelo having no color at his funeral. Just too sad and unreal to comprehend.
Our Vivaldi lives inside. If he wanted to be outside, of course, we wouldn’t stop him, but he seems to like it in here. There are frogs all over the place outside, big ones, little ones, but Vivaldi looks different from those that I see outside. He isn’t at bumpy as they are and he’s a different kind of green.
I wonder why you didn’t have any toads in your garden last year?

Thank you. 🙂 I have never heard my little Vivaldi say anything. He/she is very quiet. The only noise I ever hear is when he/she jumps from one surface to another. We think our Vivaldi is some sort of tree frog, but we don’t know. We didn’t buy him at a pet store or anything. He just came wandering into the house on his own and we just didn’t make him leave. He’s a sweet little thing. 🙂
