I am a South Carolina native, but have been living on the Texas Gulf Coast for 17 years now. David and I have been married for almost 38 years. Our children are grown. We have two grandchildren and one on the way. I try to learn something new every day. My obsession is genealogy/family history research.
Thanks! I’m glad that you loved the music. 🙂 Me, too. I get out of breath if I get to aggressive with trying to twist these days (COPD), but it sure is fun. Doing the twist is how I lost 10 pounds in the 10th grade and ended up at 99 pounds. I wish I could still do it like I used to and get to that weight again.
It is fun remembering those times when we could do anything we wanted to like that, isn’t it? 🙂
Have a blessed day!
That sure is a twisty weird building! I used to love trying to dance the twist. I do remember when it first came out that lots of people had to go to their chiropractors after twisting too much!
Wow, that is interesting. I guess they just got a bit too excited with it, eh? 🙂
I wonder how that building stands like that. You can’t even see whatever is connecting one section to the next one above it. One of the stores where we used to work had twisted columns that did somewhat like this building does. We know the bricklayer for that store, but I still don’t know how they did it. 🙂
The question is…Why did they make the building be all twisty? haha … we actually have a twisted building here. It wasn’t designed that way. It’s the tallest one here at 21 stories and it was hit by the 1970 tornado. It was twisted by a twister! It’s hard to even tell, but they say it is, and it is still in use. 🙂
Wow, I’m surprised they left it standing since the twister twisted it. I’d think it would be dangerous.
I don’t know why they made this building all twisty. If I remember right, this one is in Tokyo, but I looked at so many yesterday that I don’t remember for sure. 🙂
Have a blessed night.
Great mewsic! That twisted building is so strange but I love twisted trees. They make tremendous photographic subjects but I bet you see the value in them for this reason, too. Now, I have to trouble thinking of what to do with that last twist and honestly, I wouldn’t mind tasting that twist right now.
Hi Cathy,
Thanks! I’m glad that you enjoyed the music. I love many of the songs from that era, even though it was before I was born. 🙂
Oh yes! I agree about the trees! They do make great photographic subjects. There are all sorts of twisted trees around here. My most favorite tree in this area is at the Brazos Bend State Park. It is huge. I have posted pictures in the past on both PS Annie! and McClendon Villa.
Too bad we can’t just reach through the screen and get that pretzel. 🙂
