R is for rain.
Lots of it. In a short amount of time. Some areas have had as much as 10 inches in just a few hours. It is pretty wet out there right now.
All this rain makes me wonder if we’re going to repeat the flooding that has hit us the last two years at the end of April/entire month of May. I sure hope not. It is exciting and all that to have all the news crews out here and to hear stories of alligators on the town square, but I’d really rather not have to deal with a power-tripping cop or all the mosquitoes or have folks put out of their homes again.
I pray everyone will be safe and can stay home.

Thanks, Ellen. Things seem to be okay out there now. There’s still water hanging around, but it always stays around awhile after a lot of rain. This post was actually written & scheduled earlier this week and yesterday turned out to be a very nice day. I figured why waste a perfectly good “R” word. haha Have a blessed day. 🙂

We had some rain like that a couple weeks ago. I love it, except for like you said, all the standing water at the end just makes mosquito nurseries. sigh But when it’s pouring down, man those storms are amazing!
Blessings!

Oh yeah, they sure are! I love to watch the lightning zip around everywhere. I hope to some day take a decent picture of lightning. I haven’t had any real luck getting a clear shot of it yet, though. David and I like to storm chase. Have you ever done that?
Have a blessed day. 🙂

No, I don’t storm chase, but the kids and I have got out and stood in the parking lot of our complex here and just drank it all in. 😀 Blessings!

I think that’s great. 🙂 It is amazing to watch and feel the power of some of these storms and then it is like the whole earth is washed clean afterwards. Have a blessed night. 🙂
