O is for obsession.
Here is a song titled Obsession by Animotion. It is from 1984, the year David and I got married.
I remember a perfume titled Obsession that came out what seems like a hundred years ago now. It was by Calvin Klein. It is available on Amazon. I didn’t know it was even still in existence.
At the moment, I think it would be safe to say that I am obsessed with nature photography and genealogy/family history research. An old obsession has also come back for a visit: cake decorating! I look forward to being able to pursue that again. See this post to read about the book that woke this passion back up in me.

That’s a great song! I remember it. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled the Obsession perfume, though.

Thanks. I liked that song back then, too. I don’t know that I ever smelled the Obsession perfume or not, but I remember seeing the ads all over the place. My favorite perfume back then was Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion. It had the beautiful purple bottle. 🙂

My all time favorite perfume is called ‘Ambush’. I wore it for years, and now you can’t find it! Funny thing…I found a little bottle of it at a yard sale awhile back, and you know I grabbed it right up. I think it was 50 cents! 🙂

I remember that song, and that perfume! I used to do cake decorating too, where I worked as a teen. Right now, my obsession is soap, and coolness of cool, I can also use cake decorating techniques with soap! Boo-yah! lol

No, I was a young woman (late teens early twenties) and worked at an ice cream store where I made cakes for customers. Then, of course, I did it for loved ones also. 🙂

Oh no, they were ice cream cakes. 🙂 Many were a blend of cake+ice cream, and some were just ice cream, but none were just cake.

Cool. I bet they were yummy, too. I love ice cream and I love cake and I love them together. 🙂 I wonder, living where I do, how on earth an ice cream cake would ever make it to the party or home without melting? Even with an ice chest, it seems it would melt as hot as it gets down here.

For people who were traveling more than a few minutes, we would pack dry ice around their dessert so it wouldn’t melt on the way. 🙂

Maybe we need to get that to pack in our car. Our A/C blower isn’t working in the car and yesterday it was 93-98 degrees as we drove through Houston. Very hot, which I think makes folks drive even more insanely. 🙂
