Share Your World

cees_share-your-world_041514-sywbannerEver ran out of gas in your vehicle?

I don’t remember ever running out of gas in my Zoomie.  I am fundamentally opposed to letting it get below half a tank.  I have been near panic mode a few times along the way as there have been several times recently where the gas was down to a quarter of a tank.  The thought of being out in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road with no gas – and probably no cell signal – scares me to death.

Which are better: black or green olives?

I like olives, the green ones, but black olives to not like me.  If I eat them, I have an adverse reaction.  They give me the tremors.

If you were a great explorer, what would you explore?

The homelands of my forefathers/mothers, the cemeteries where they are buried, and the rest of this huge state of Texas are the first places on my list!

Quotes List: At least three of your favorite quotes?

John 11:35 “Jesus wept.”      This has been one of my favorite verses since I was a little girl.  Not that I was happy for something making Jesus cry, because I’m not.   It shows me that, though He is God, in human form, He had very human feelings, too.  He understands my tears because He has also shed them.  He understands my grief because He has also grieved.

There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs. ~ Ansel Adams

Imagination makes you see all sorts of things. ~ Georgia O’Keeffe

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for last week to be over and done.  It was an incredibly stressful week.  I am looking forward to a week of getting back into reading and writing and having absolutely NO “have tos”, only “want tos”.   I can be a night owl again, if I choose. 🙂

I am looking forward to finding more and more wildflowers in bloom and photographing as many of them as I can.  I am looking forward to trying out the whole reverse lens mounting idea and seeing what happens with that.  I am very excited and, though in many ways I am dealing with some very heavy feelings, I am feeling very free right now!

    • Luckily, both David and I are night owls. 🙂 I can imagine there being lots of discord if we weren’t on the same page.

Thanks, I sure hope so! The first challenge is figuring out how to get this reversing thing onto the camera and the lens. haha

      Have a blessed week!
