cees_share-your-world_041514-sywbannerThis week our questions come from a series of questions that Netdancer’s Musings answered on her post “Getting to Know Me – 50 Questions”.

Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?

One is opened because the doors are no longer on it. The other is closed and stores stuff that we rarely need to get to, so it stays closed.

Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?

Yes, we paid for them with the room rate (they aren’t really FREE!), so why wouldn’t I take them?

What is your usual bedtime?

I’m 51 years old. I don’t have a “bedtime” per se. We go to bed when we’re tired and get up in time to do whatever we have to do that day, if we have anything to do that day. I can’t sleep as long as David can without physical repercussions, so sometimes I get up and find things to do while I wait for him to wake up. We are night-owls, so given to our own devices, we would sleep during the day and play at night. The world has other ideas, though, so we often have to go against our bodies’ natural rhythms and be awake during the daytime.

Do you like to use post-it notes?

They are okay, but we don’t use them. We use index cards and make use of Notepad in the computer.

When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?

It was probably a couple of years ago.  I sent letters to a friend, and to my mama, and my aunt.

Any phobias?

Yes, boogers.  It totally drives me nuts to see medical personnel, cashiers and food service people wipe their noses on their hands and then not wash them before messing with me, my family, or our food.  It is just disgusting!  How would they like it if I just went up to them and blew my nose on their steak or into their open wound?  They wouldn’t and I don’t want their boogers either!

Yes, me and Monk could be great friends! Wipes!

I don’t know if that counts as a phobia or just something that I totally dislike, because I definitely don’t like it, but it doesn’t make me tremble with fear like I suppose phobias might do.

So, maybe I should try this again.

Hmm Okay…clowns and the Sickle Man.  I’m afraid of those. So, clowns and Sickle Man are my phobias. Oh, and falling off a mountain.  I’m not worried about heights, just the thought of falling off said heights scares me to death.

Oh yeah…and being a passenger. I am a horrible passenger. *I* have to be the one in control of the vehicle.

How tall are you?

You mean how tall I’m not? Haha I am 4 feet 10 and ¾ inches tall on a good day. The last time our youngest daughter measured my height, I was 4 feet 9 inches.  Our heights, just like our weights, fluctuate throughout the day. Shrinking is also one of the first signs, as I understand it, of osteoporosis, which is prevalent in my family.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am thankful that we made it through last week. I can’t think of anything specific at the moment. Oh, oh yes, I can! I am grateful that we survived the Texas Winter of 2017, all three days of it. haha

I am looking forward to our daughter getting better. She has been so sick and running a fever, but she doesn’t want to go to the doctor and catch something even worse. I understand her concern, but I would also like to know what is going on for her right now. But, at 26 years old, this is her decision to make, not mine or her daddy’s.

A child is always a child, no matter what the age, and we can’t help but be concerned at times. Sometimes the only thing we can do in some instances is pray for our children, although that is a daily thing that I do anyway for our grown children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    • Hi! How blessed you are to have children, grandchildren AND great-grandchildren! Wow! I know your life must never be boring. 🙂
I agree; praying is something that we need to do for our children every day (we do, too) and sometimes it is all that we can do for them. They have to make their own choices and sometimes that is very hard to let them do.
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed day!

    • Thank you. She seems to be on the mend. 🙂
Yes, a lot of people are afraid of clowns. I think the anonymity behind the mask/paint makes it too easy for them to do bad things and not be identifiable. I’ve never been good with the unknown and have been terrified of clowns since I was a wee little thing.
Reading a book about a killer clown hasn’t helped matters any, either. I can’t remember the name of the book, but the author was Dean Koontz and the clown was named Beezo. It gives me shivers just thinking about it!
      Have a blessed evening!
