If you lost a bet and had to dye your hair a color of the rainbow for a week, what color would it be?
This one is easy! Violet! I would say purple, but it isn’t part of ROYGBIV. I’ve had purple hair before, but not on purpose. I left the dye in my hair 10 minutes extra hoping for a deeper shade of auburn. I got a cool surprise instead. 🙂
If you could choose one word to focus on for 2017, what would it be?
My One Word for 2017 is “Vision”. You can read that post here: My One Word.
What was one thing you learned last year that you added to your life?
I had to think long and hard on this one. The only thing that I can think of is that I ventured into the world of decoupage/Mod Podge. I have plans to do many more Mod Podge projects as time goes by.
If life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’… which fruit other than a cherry would you be..?
I would have to say raspberries because that is how I am feeling about my life right now. I’m allergic to raspberries, so it fits perfectly.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful that 2016 left and locked the door on its way out. I am grateful that we had both of our daughters home for a while. I wish that we hadn’t had to take the younger one back to the Island, but it is what it is. She has her life to live, too. The oldest is still here with us. I like it that way. I worry about her when she’s in the City.
I am looking forward to getting my 2016 poetry book ready for publication and maybe FINALLY finishing up the book of writing prompts that I have been working on for a few years now. I got lured away from it, so it has sat idle for way too long. I also look forward to working more on my personal history journal with help of a program called Personal Historian. I downloaded the free version from RootsMagic here: Personal Historian Essentials. I have no affiliation with this product. I am just very happy to have found it!

Thank you. I have a few more ideas in mind to try at some point, too. Love you, my Zing. 🙂

We both have purple and raspberries! Mod Podge is great! I did a few projects with it years ago and the items still look good as new.

I wonder if there’s such a thing as purple raspberries? haha
Cool! Then there’s hope for these ornaments lasting for a good, long time. 🙂 What did you make with the Mod Podge and which one did you use? I used the Matte formula.
Have a blessed evening. 🙂

I had an old cedar chest (a dowry or hope chest) that had a scratched up top. I used William Morris wrapping paper and Mod Podged it to the the top. I also used the matte formula. I gave it several coats and it dried very nicely. That was at least 15 years ago and it still looks good. I also covered the top of a plain wooden box and that still looks good as well.

Those sound like fun projects, especially the old cedar chest. Does it have a story?
Have a blessed night. 🙂

Only a boring one ha-ha. Bought it second-hand to store my woolen clothing 🙂

That is cool. I don’t know of anyone with woolen clothing down here. I don’t think the sheep here even wear wool. 🙂
