30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 17

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Psalm 100:4

Gratitude consists of being more aware of what you have, than what you don’t.

What are you thankful for today?

I am thankful for the women that taught me to crochet and knit.  My Aunt Vi taught me how to crochet.  David’s mother tried to teach me to knit, bless her heart.  The two women that helped me to finally get it were Littlest Lambs volunteers named Audrey Walters and Sallie Poole.   Aunt Vi and Mrs. Walters are now crocheting and knitting up a storm in Heaven.  Stitch in peace, ladies!

Please be sure to visit David over at Random Thoughts and Observations.

I admire people who can knit (some of my work colleagues, for example) and crochet (my mom). I have never had the patience (or probably the ability) to learn, but I’ve benefited from others talents 🙂 Hope you’re having a great day!

    • Thank you, Emily. Knitting is still not easy for me. Some parts of it I can’t quite figure out how to do. It took a very long time for me to master just the knit and purl stitches. Crocheting is easier and faster.
I know you have the ability to learn how to do it. It just might not be something that you want to learn bad enough to go through all the hair-pulling involved and the desire makes a difference, too. Believe me, if I can learn it, anybody can. I’m stubborn across the board. 🙂
Thanks! I hope that you’re having a great day, too!
