A to Z April Challenge: H is for Historic Home

During our honeymoon, we were blessed to visit several historic homes. The first four on the list are those we visited on our honeymoon. The last one we have gone to several times as it is only about an hour away from our home here on the Texas Gulf Coast. One is the home of a man that shared a great-great-grandmother with me.

Can you guess which one is my favorite of all? Which house belonged to my distant cousin?

What historic homes or places have you visited?

I enjoy visiting historic homes too, but mostly for the gardens! I haven’t been to any in the US except for Hearst Castle which was rather amazing, which I wrote about on my other blog (not in the A-Z challenge) http://smallbluegreenwords.wordpress.com/2013/05/31/road-trip-usa-california-the-big-sur/
